Do You Know What a Pool Grille Is?
A pool grille is a component installed over water channels around the pool area. Surface water enters these channels through the grilles and is directed towards the pool’s filtration system. After filtration, the cleaned water is pumped back into the pool through the grilles.
But why should we use this component in pool design, and how does it function? These are the topics we’ll explore in this write-up.
What is a Grille?
A crucial aspect of using pools is ensuring the water is clean and filtered. Without maintaining hygiene and proper water filtration, no one would be interested in swimming in such an environment.
Many types of equipment contribute to pool water filtration, and one of the most commonly used is the pool grille.
During pool construction, a channel is dug around the pool basin. Grated panels, known as grilles, are then placed over this channel.
These grilles collect surface water and prevent debris and contaminants from entering the pool, thereby keeping the water clean. Connected to the pool’s filtration system, the grilles guide the collected water toward the filtration pump. Once filtered, the clean water can be returned to the pool through the grilles.
